It depends on which dna elements each of your ancestors inherited, I freaked out with mine as my 2nd cousin and I didn’t appear on each other’s ancestry list yet when we looked at the list of people we had some in common which proved we are related I phoned ancestry to check and was told yes this was unusual but not unknown and that the main focus of testing was ethnicity then finding relatives. You will be ok when you can wrap your head around it good luck with your family tree if you decide to do one

23. The interesting thing about the Irish is that they have diverse DNA, more so than the English. There's an Iberian DNA strand and a Scandinavian DNA strand. The Normans were also there too, so bit of a mixed bag, like most countries.

27. You're not realizing that these companies have one particular sampling pool to pull from. I guarantee you if you test it through several other companies you will have several different results.

33. My kids have one Japanese grandparent and a bunch of Scottish and Anglo-Saxon. It's so cool to see how you've got Caucasian coloring and somewhat Asian features! My youngest is colored like you with no real Asian look but my older two look like Hapas. My middle girl is a freaking clone of her Japanese grandma. ?
